The band came about as the result of several discussions between bassist Steve Spence, of Strasburg, Virginia and lead singer, Scott Brannon from the Martinsburg, West Virginia area. Scott & Steve have known each other since the early seventies, when both were young bluegrass musicians. Both grew up with parents who were country music fans and tuned in stations that still included live country bands performing on radio, in addition to programming the recorded music of the time.
